This is the first post in what we expect to be a long, slow correspondence with anyone who cares about doing the work well. We started this practice because the prevailing answers — the templates, the playbooks, the rehearsed talking points — tend to miss the texture of the problems we actually get hired to solve.

What you'll find here is a record of how we think out loud: case notes, frameworks we trust, frameworks we've stopped trusting, and the occasional argument with ourselves. We don't write for traffic; we write so the next conversation we have with a client begins three steps further in than the last one.

What to expect
